How to Use This Calculator

Enter a start date, then specify the number of days, weeks, or months to add. All three fields work together — you can combine them (e.g., 2 months + 15 days). Use negative numbers to subtract. The quick buttons (+7, +14, +30, etc.) set the day field instantly for common intervals. Results update in real time as you type.

Common "Days From Now" Answers

30 days from today: Approximately one calendar month, though the exact date depends on the current month's length. 30 days from January 1 is January 31. 30 days from January 31 is March 2 (or March 1 in a leap year).

60 days from today: Roughly two months. Often used for contract terms, notice periods, and refund windows.

90 days from today: Approximately one quarter. Used for quarterly planning, warranty periods, and subscription billing cycles.

180 days from today: Six months. Common for visa conditions, medical follow-ups, and semi-annual reviews.

Adding Months vs Adding Days

Adding 1 month means advancing the calendar month by 1, not adding 30 or 31 days. March 15 + 1 month = April 15. But March 31 + 1 month = April 30 (since April has only 30 days). This "end-of-month clamping" is how every calendar system handles it, and the calculator follows the same convention.

Adding 30 days is different from adding 1 month. From March 1, 30 days lands on March 31, while +1 month lands on April 1. Choose the method that matches your use case: use months for billing and scheduling, use days for strict deadline counting.

Negative Values — Subtracting Days

Enter a negative number to find a date in the past. "-90 days" from today gives you the date 90 days ago. This is useful for looking up when something started (e.g., when did the 90-day trial begin if it ends today?), calculating grace periods, or verifying historical records.

Frequently Asked Questions

What date is 30 days from today?

Set the start date to today and add 30 days. The result is shown above, accounting for the exact number of days in each month and any leap year adjustments.

What date is 90 days from today?

Enter today's date and 90 in the days field. 90 calendar days ≈ 3 months, but the exact date varies by month. Use the calculator for the precise answer.

Can I subtract days from a date?

Yes — enter a negative number. "-30 days" subtracts 30 days from the start date, giving you a past date.

How do you add months to a date?

Use the "Add Months" field. The calculator advances the month counter and clamps the day to the last valid day of the resulting month when needed (e.g., January 31 + 1 month = February 28).

What is the difference between adding days and adding months?

Adding days counts exact calendar days. Adding months advances the month counter regardless of day count. From March 1: +30 days = March 31; +1 month = April 1. Both are useful for different situations.
